Promotional Music Video 2025

Created with a talented team, this music video is now streaming on the Rednetic Recordings YouTube channel. The project was a creative journey in which we collaborated with the artist Indigo Kennedy to produce an abstract, visually experimental video for the relaunch of Faraway Towns, showcasing his distinctive artistic style.

“Faraway Towns” is an evocative piece of techno/electronica hybrid: rooted in a steady 4/4 groove but layered with ambient textures and glitchy artefacts. According to the label’s Bandcamp description of the parent release (Transaction) it sits “on a coherent techno foundation with moments reminiscent of the finest early work of Richie Hawtin, while remaining current with some beautiful glitched fragments.”

Role

Co- Cinematographer

I contributed to directing and planning the visual style and shot compositions for the music video, ensuring the footage aligned with the intended abstract visual aesthetic.

Editor

I helped bring the team’s and Kennedy’s shared vision to life by shaping rhythm, pacing, and emotion into a cohesive narrative. I organised and refined the experimental structure of the music video, ensuring a clear and engaging flow throughout.

Challenges

Editing

Aligning footage precisely to the beat and rhythm was challenging, as it needed to consistently reflect the artist’s tone and intended aesthetic.

Visually Engaging

Maintaining a cohesive visual style while layering footage and creating dynamic compositions required careful balance to keep the video engaging and focused on the artist.

Software

DaVinci Resolve Studio v20

I used DaVinci Resolve composite modes alongside digital and physically printed embellishments to create a glitch-inspired aesthetic.
